Hi, Guys, When do you start to learn Tai chi, Kungfu? Why do you want to learn? My colleagues teased I am having the old people life.
I get up early, go to bed early every day. In every early morning I practice Tai chi with a group in a park, I am the youngest. Looks like Tai chi is an old people activity in China. How about it in your countries? I love to do Yang style tai chi chuan, but I never tried to remember any set’s name since I learned last August. I can’t completely finish to practice the whole sets(85sets) by myself by now. What an embarrassing thing, right?

Derek Tse • I am surprised that in China it is considered for old people. I am in Canada, and I started last month, but I have already learned Karate and Aikido.
My purpose is to know Tai Chi principle better to help my Aikido training, and to have something to spend time with my wife, she also learned with me. I just learn one set and use it to work on breathing, stances, timing, etc, and of course, the Tai Chi moves generate a great deal of power, I used it a lot in my Aikido session, it makes a big difference.
The sooner you start, the more benefit you get, so good luck!
Anita Fisher • Tai Chi is a beautiful, beautiful practice! It energizes our electrical system and helps open up blocked (subtle) channels of the body. It refreshes the mind and body. It soothes tired and frazzled nerves. It clears the mind, making one more calm and refreshed. I’ve been practicing for several years now and absolutely LOVE it!
There have been days when I’ve been totally wiped out at work, then attended a class on Tai Chi and drove home totally refreshed and rejuvinated! It’s fabulous!!!
Doug Howard • Tai Chi is a very powerful martial art….win with least effort.
